40th cycle Ph.D.call - 2024/2025 - starting 1 November 2024
The call for applications for admission to the Ph.D. programs of the XL cycle has been issued with D.R. n. 2273 on May 30, 2024.
The call has been published on the Official Notice Board and on the University portal at http://www.unina.it/didattica/post-laurea/dottorati-di-ricerca/bandi-di-ammissione. The English version will also be published shortly at http://www.unina.it/didattica/post-laurea/dottorati-di-ricerca/english-version.
Please note that the deadline is 12:00 PM on July 1, 2024. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the online procedure, which will be active starting from 8:00 AM on Monday, June 10, 2024.
Graduating students can also apply, provided they obtain their degree by October 31, 2024.
Application Process:
All applications must be submitted exclusively through the online procedure available at https://pica.cineca.it/unina/. The deadline for submission is 12:00 PM (Italian time) on July 1, 2024.
Application Fee:
To participate in the admission exam, candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of €50.00. This fee must be paid exclusively through the methods indicated in the online application procedure. Please note that this fee is specific to the Ph.D. program in Computational and Quantitative Biology for which the application is submitted.
Important Information:
- Applications that do not comply with the outlined procedures will not be considered.
- The application fee is strictly non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the admission process.

Requirements
There is no restriction on age and citizenship, you should have obtained one of the following degrees:
- master degree, equivalent to "laurea specialistica" or "laurea magistrale"
- an equivalent degree obtained from a foreign university.
The degree must be earned by October 31st, 2024.
Evaluation process
Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their academic curriculum and an interview with the selection committee.
Scholarships and fees
Most of the admitted students will have an annual scholarship covering living expenses and fees. The number of available scholarships can vary year by year. The amount of the scholarship is 16.243,00 and an exemption of university fees.
