Melania obtained her master degree in Medical Biotechnology at Federico II, University of Naples. Her master thesis project aimed to simulate biochemical dynamics of signaling pathways in a systems biology point of view.
Later, she moved to Milan, she obtained a 2nd Level Vocational Master in Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics at the University of Milan and, then, she continued to work on the benchmarking of several methods of data integration and Network Inference analysis applied to scRNAseq data.
Currently, she is a Ph.D. student at Federico II, University of Naples, in Computational and Quantitative Biology, working in the Systems and Synthetic Biology Lab at Tigem. Here, she works on the implementation of machine learning approaches applied to scRNAseq data to predict cancer drug responses.
